I speak enough Cantonese to order decent dim sum and curse colourfully.  I think ice in beer is a good idea, particularly in a riverside bar on the Mekong, but am not partial to karaoke.  My aspirations as a photographer are to not crash my bike while taking pictures, to keep my head down when landmines are detonated, and to tell a good story that hopefully helps people learn just a bit more about something.  I consider myself an ethnographer, a documentary photographer, and a storyteller, but not an artist.  Vancouver is my home, and many of my projects are in Southeast Asia.
